“Before mentorship I had never really looked into colleges that weren’t community college. Aside from this I didn’t know how much work, costs, and organization the college application process took… This partnership allowed me to see the beauty in my stories and realize why I also belonged in rooms where I would have never imagined. Because of this, I am able to attend college now and not let myself be stopped by my own judgment but instead embrace what I was given. As an only child and a first gen student, this program was like the older sibling I never got, guiding me through the decision making process of my future.”
